Law Admission Test (LAT)
Our LAT Preparation Course is tailored for students aspiring to secure admission in the LLB program. With the guidance of experienced faculty, we ensure students are fully prepared to succeed in the Law Admission Test
- The Law Admission Test (LAT) is a nationally mandated entrance examination for students aspiring to enroll in the LL.B. (Hons.) 4-Year Program offered by universities and law colleges across Pakistan, including SDK LAW COLLEGE JACOBABAD . This exam plays a pivotal role in ensuring that all candidates entering the legal profession meet a uniform standard of competence, aptitude, and readiness for legal studies.
- LAT was introduced following a directive by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in collaboration with the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). Its primary objective is to uphold the quality of legal education by setting a nationwide benchmark that assesses not only a student’s academic potential but also their ability to think critically, write persuasively, and understand fundamental social and legal concepts.
- This standardized entry test reflects a shift in Pakistan’s legal education framework, aiming to produce a generation of legal professionals who are not only knowledgeable in the law but also capable of upholding justice, integrity, and professional ethics. For institutions like SDK , LAT serves as a foundational requirement, ensuring that enrolled students are well-prepared to take on the academic and practical challenges of a legal career.
- The LAT is compulsory for all prospective students, whether they have completed their intermediate education or are waiting for results. Admission to SHK Law College is not possible without passing the LAT, making it a crucial first step for anyone planning to pursue an LL.B. in Pakistan.
